Pinterest Pin Design: How to Tell Which Change Affected the Result
Compare two Pin variations of the same idea with controlled. Clarify your design decision by evaluating the vertical canvas, visual focus, title and target connection separately.

You can't decide which element is effective if the title, share time, target audience, and visual have changed at the same time. The design experiment is not to refresh everything; it is to look for a cleaner answer to a single question.
Install canvas according to purpose
Pinterest's creative content guide It recommends a vertical 2:3 ratio, and a 1000 ⁇ 1500 pixel for standard visual advertising. It states that longer rates can be cropped in the flow. This does not mean that each Pin type has a single size; check the format you will use as well.
In this example, let's prepare two standard visuals that go to a table editing guide. Let's use the same desk, the same color scheme, and the same target page in both. The only element we'll change is the title approach: the result in one, the problem in the other.
Two different but honest titles
The first title may be 'Order plan for the small desk', the second title may be 'Why is your table constantly filling?'. These are example design phrases; not measured winners. Both titles must be equivalent to the page on which the link is opened. Do not promise an outcome that is not in the visual or is not explained in the article.
Close the title and look at the visual: is the subject of the content still understandable? Then examine the image on a small phone scale. Simplify the composition first if the object crowd conceals the main idea. Larger writing does not always save the weak visual focus.
External link click with save are different questions
If your goal is to attract visitors to the guide, don't look at the number of saves alone. Saving may be about the user wanting to evaluate the idea later; switching to the target page is another behavior. Select the measurement that best represents the purpose from the accessible analysis areas in your own account and set the evaluation time in advance.
Comparing organic shares on different days is not a controlled experiment. Display difference and distribution conditions can affect the result. Therefore, do not present small differences as exact causality. If there is not enough data, it is worth more to say 'uncertain' than to produce a random design rule.
Move what you learned to the next design
If you have changed the title in the first comparison, you can try the visual focus on the next attempt by keeping the title constant. Store the file name, destination and observation with a short record on each change. Do not assume that it is strategy to share small copies of the same image at high volume all the time; each content should have a separate value to the reader.
The final control of the design is made in the link: Does the promise in the pin, the title of the opened page, and the solution in the content match? The visual that takes the click but leads the reader to the wrong place is not a good design result.
