Exploring Antalya’s Heritage Online: How to Read an Inventory Record
Study the Antalya Cultural Entities Inventory with its location, resources and visual notes. Do not confuse information in an independent archive with visiting permission or official work hours.

Living in a city for years does not mean that you know the story of every structure you pass by. Digital culture inventories can be a good start to grow this curiosity. But it is not the same as when a structure is on record and it can also be re-usable with its photograph appearing. Protect these distinctions as you explore Antalya's heritage from the screen.
Read the identity of the project first
Project page of Antalya Cultural Assets Inventory, describes the scope of the independent study conducted by Orhan Deniz Kaplan. Do not confuse the site in question with official publications of similar name. Knowing the identity of the source is important both to attribute the work to the right person and to understand the scope of the information.
This distinction does not mean that an independent study is worthless. It determines which source you apply to in what question. You can use an inventory to meet the city heritage, and you can also verify the current visit requirement from the authorized institution.
Do not consume the recording as a photo alone
Inventory list Select a location. Read its name, location information, description and, if any, references together. A photo that looks beautiful doesn't prove all the historical details about the record alone. If there is any vague or controversial information, don't turn it into a definitive judgment.
You can open four fields in your own discovery note: the name of the place, the main information I learned, the source on which it was based, and also the subject to be verified. For example, the 'learn the time of visit' note makes it appear to be a different job than the record of the existence of historical structure.
Inventory is not an entry permit
The fact that a location is on the record or map does not indicate that it is open to the public every day. Private property, conservation work, security limit or access constraint can be found. Learn the current entry conditions and field instructions also. Do not enter enclosed spaces, interfere with the structure, and do not exceed the protection limits to take photos.
This article does not claim that all points on the route can be visited today. Its purpose is to transform curiosity into a controlled and respectful research habit.
It is different to suggest the site by sharing the photo
Frequently asked questions of the project, explains the conditions for visual and content usage. Do not assume that writing the source name provides automatic use permission. It is a more obvious start to link to the relevant record and write your own original note instead of copying the photo that requires permission.
Ultimately, the value of digital discovery is not how many places you record, but when you start seeing those places more carefully. Choose a single record for your next city walk, read their source, and plan by confirming the visit condition as well.
